Overnight oats on the trail are a lifesaver. They can save both your fuel and hassle in the morning and they barely weigh anything. Add in the water to your bag and stash them back up in your food hang, because bears can’t resist these oats either.

To mix up your breakfasts while on trail, check our our Bananas Foster Overnight Oats.

1/2 c oats, I use Bob’s Red Mill
2 tbsp dehydrated berries, pulsed to powder
1 tbsp peanut butter powder
1 tbsp dehydrated milk powder, I use, Bob’s Red Mill
2 tsp Sugar in the Raw, optional
1/2 c water

At home, combine all of the ingredients minus the water into a Ziplock. Before bed at camp, just add the water and swish it around with your fingers after sealing. They will be perfectly hydrated by morning to enjoy.

If you’re dehydrating your own seasonal berries, just lay them on your dehydrator trays overnight and pulse them up in a food processor. This will give it a more even ‘jam’ like flavor versus just chunks of berries.
