DIY Backpacker's Lightweight Trail Recipes: Easy Dehydrated Apple Chips

It's apple season here, so I am looking for reasons to buy more of them. This is a great one. Just slice your apples 1/8 inch thick and lay out on your racks making sure not to crowd them. Set it to 140 and leave it overnight. 

These can be eaten dry as snacks or added to your oatmeal before adding the hot water to bring them back to life.
